The TY250 revolutionised competitive trials riding in the early 1970s, giving unreliable British machines a run for their money. Light and more powerful with extremely good centre of gravity the TY proved good enough for Andrews to win the arduous Scottish Six Days Trial in 1974 and the model went onto establish a formidable reputation in observed trails. A real favourite of popular trials rider 'Sammy Miller', the TY proved itself as a true winner in twin shock trials events up and down the country and Europe wide.
Mono-shock rear suspension and a six-speed gearbox were among later innovations tried, both of which later found their way on to the production model and the TY remained in production until the mid 1990's.
This example was recently purchased from a classic dealership and then went through the owner's workshop to have any issues addressed. With lovely paintwork, good tyres, correct decals and running sweetly, the machine is ready to ride and enjoy.
She is offered without a current V5 but a recent bill of sale.
