A Fine Rosewood Striking Table Clock, signed Vulliamy, London, No.737, circa 1815, the nicely figured arched case with top carrying handle, left hand side with pierced sound fret and the right hand with plain panel, brass inlaid front with recessed panel, rectangular base raised upon ball shaped brass feet, 6-inch white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and signed Vulliamy London, stamped behind W & A Essex, heart shaped hands, rise and fall adjustment arbor positioned at 12, the fine twin fusee movement with Vulliamy's type deadbeat escapement, rise and fall regulation situated between the plates, striking on a bell, movement frontplate stamped with Vulliamy's suppliers mark Holmden London 428, backplate signed Vulliamy 737, London, 33cm high

A very similar clock by Vulliamy, numbered 738, the movement stamped Holmden London and number 429 was sold at Bonhams July 7th 2009 lot 117.

03.06.11, Case with some small scratches to the front, brass work has discoloured left hand side fret work with some minor cracks in places, right hand side fret is missing and has been replaced with a plain panel, dial is dirty to the surface, dial edge at 3 o'clock with a small chip, movement needs a complete clean and service, movement with the bell missing,
