An Oak and Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed T Wain, Burslem, circa 1830, case with swan neck pediment, turned columns, wavy shaped trunk door with mahogany crossbanding and flanked by inset fluted pilasters, plinth with raised panel and upon bracket feet, 14-inch painted arched dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, date aperture and seconds dial, dial corners painted with dogs and a hunting scene in the arch, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 225cm high

28.06.11, The hood of the case with a small chip to the backside of the left turned column, swan neck pediment with damage to the metal mounts, case with some small dents to the edges in parts, trunk door is locked and unable to open, dial appears to have been touched up in parts at some time, re-touching beneath the 12 0'clock position which appears at some time the dial has come away from the movement, hour hand with an old repair and has been soldered later seatboard, movement looks dirty and needs cleaning.
