Dudley Adams was the younger son of the globe maker George Adams, and after the father's death continued the family business with his elder brother George Junior. Dudley set up business on his own in 1788 and became globe maker to King George III

. In older restored condition. Gores and scales appear bleached-out and colouring possibly later. Some surface staining, surface scratching, minor splits and losses to paper. Mounting pin at northern pole not visable, possibly fallen into the globe. Stand with some typical wear. 170319
