A Walnut Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Stephen Tracy, London, circa 1720, flat top pediment, crossbanded arch trunk door with moulded borders, 12-inch arch brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, seconds dial, date aperture, strike/silent selection lever above 12, signed silvered disc in the arch, five pillar movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 229cm high see illustration

21.02.19, Top caddy has been re-built, pediment with left hand side moulding missing, some other small pieces of moulding are missing, hood door has come off and needs attention, case veneers have been cleaned throughout and the veneers have been replaced in parts, trunk door is bowed, trunk door with later applied metal mount, plinth has been re-built, base skirting with veneers damaged and chipped, dial plate is slightly bent, dial is dirty, movement is dirty, movement needs cleaning, movement not tested for its working condition.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
