In an overall reasonable state of preservation. Covered in a layer of dirt, discoloured varnish and dust. There is a diagonal line of non-continuous small surface scuffs, nicks/abrasions above and right of the central pigeons's head and is approximately 6cm/7cm in total length (images can be provided if required). Further general small sized reasonably minor nicks/scratches/abrasions to upper-right corner with possible re-touching. Two small gouges mostly horizontal in length just right of the far hand side of the right pigeon's breast, the longest being nearly 1cm in length. Minor imperfections/crease within lower right-hand corner with other pin-hole? small scratch and further knocks/pin-holes below the G of the inscription. Beneath and around the central pigeons feet there is a general area of light surface damage which has generally abraded the surface. Small U-shaped gouge or paint loss down the side of pigeon's beak. Other odd relatively insignificant scuffs/surface abrasions etc. Otherwise in stable condition.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
