. Duke of Suffolk - In an overall good state of preservation. Some extremely subtle abrading to the black pigment denoting the gentleman's cap. The back of his char and other black areas of pigment (extremely minimal). Otherwise in a generally good state of preservation. No evidence of cockling. Not examined out of the frame. Columbus - Evidence of light time staining to sheet. A small amount of very sporadic foxing spots which are evident in the less worked areas (hands, paler tones of background, thin border along top edge etc...). There is slightly more pronounced oxidisation around the white pigment especially used to highlight areas on the hand and cuffs etc... Slight reduction to overall colour but generally in a good state of conservation. No evidence of cockling. Not examined out of the frame. Gilford - In a comparable order to the companion works.
