Signed and inscribed in brown ink "Mr Fred Allen with the artist's kind regards", mixed media, together with a collection of mostly figurative other sketches and works on paper to include "Gypsy Fortune Teller" by FW Topham, standing male nude by Dame Ethel Walker, two pencil sketches by Sir George Hayter - "The Flower Girl" and studies of cherubs, a figure group outside an inn reputedly by David Wilkie, and a standing classically draped male figure in the style of Gainsborough Dupont, 10.5cm by 5cm and various other sizes, all mounted, unframed (7)

. Understanding that all of these works are mounted and unframed, presented loose and therefore display the normal associated condition issues of unframed works. A brief description of each is as follows; Frost - Stuck down. With general rippling. Reasonably light time staining to sheet. Lifting to lower right hand corner. Colour depth is muted. Hayter (Flower girl) - Affixed to back of mount at top corners. Generally handled with an amount of subtly thumb marks. Fold to lower right hand corner. Old adhesive marks to lower left hand corner. Minor surface dirt, scuffs etc... Small cluster of medium sized foxing spots in and around the girls left hand. Some time staining to sheet etc... Hayter (cherub) - Fixed to backing sheet upper corners/edge. General light handling marks and some creases. Light surface dirt and time staining. Bottom corners slightly missing. Pencil annotation to backing sheet indicated that watermark indicates the year 1827. Attr. Wilkie - Stuck down. A few tiny sized foxing spots, mostly to lower half. Light surface dirt. Ochre coloured wash? or staining to approx lower third etc... Attr. Topham - Stuck down. Top two corners cut or missing. Colour depth muted. Light surface dirt and time staining. Attr. Ethel Walker - In generally poor condition. Executed on thin buff coloured paper with numerous creases, small losses. Long diagonal fold from lower left hand edge to centre left hand side edge. Surface dirt. Laid down at edges. Attr. Gainsborough Dupont - Affixed along top edge. Surface dirt and time staining. Creasing/general dog eared to edges and corners. Horizontal crease/fold to centre full width. Odd foxing spots/brown marks etc...
