. Fallen Giraffe example - Moderate to severe time staining to mount and sheet with areas of darker staining and most notably a large circular stain above the rider's feet. Small to medium sized foxing spots throughout sheet. More concentrated within some areas such as the background below the legs and the jump. Small horizontal tear approx 0.5 cm in length and 1cm below the right hand side of jump. Imperfection/creasing to upper left hand corner. Other minor creases along top edge, left hand side edge, lower left hand side corner etc... Colour depth also faded. Generally in a fairly poor state. The other two examples are in comparable condition with some/numerous tears to edges. Also appear to have been stuck at all four corners with evidence of adhesion. The third example has dark coloured surface scuffs and scratches mostly to upper right hand corner. Broadly in poor state. Sold as seen.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Our Condition Reports are not prepared by professional conservators, restorers, or engineers, and are prepared with the naked eye unless otherwise stated.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
