Including mainly velvets in luxurious colours of purple, blue, plum, black and cream, some samples with silk embroidered and grosgrain inserts, cut velvet, some with 3d effect shadowing, checked and spotted, each page is numbered in black ink, with the samples separately numbered

Comprising 28 double sided pages, approximately 296 samples, smallest samples are 34cm by 8.5cm and largest 39cm by 32cm, 3 to 5 per page, approximately 6% of the fabric samples are missing
In a black fabric mounted ledger, bearing a handwritten label to the spine, 176 19816 19870 H, 1886 H, SG & C, this is repeated to the inside of the book, BFK (Bianchini Férier) monogram is visible to the front page from the reverse
