A Regency Mahogany Striking Table Clock, signed Wm Chater, London, arched pediment, recessed front with brass inlay, fish scale side sound frets, side pull repeat cord and ring carrying handles, ball feet, 8-inch convex painted dial with Roman numerals, twin fusee movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 51cm high see illustration

12.06.20 Case with cracks to the pediment, front and sides, beading around the front recessed panel is lifting and is cracked just above, back door with small cracks and chips and small wood worm holes, case sides with signs of some new veneer later added, later bezel, dial has been repainted throughout, dial with minor scratches, movement needs cleaning, top left hand corner of the movement frontplate with one small vacant hole, with a pendulum.
