Casualty Medals from the Great War: - a pair, to 24717 Pte R G Turner Essex Regiment, housed in a glazed display frame. Footnote:- Robert George Turner was born in Stanford Rivers, Essex. He enlisted at Ipswich joining the 10th Battalion of the Essex Regiment. Sadly killed in action on 22nd October 1917 and buried in Cement House Cemetery; a Pair, to 127865 Gnr J G Pearson RGA, with a shoulder title, Princess Mary 1914 Christmas tin and transmittal slip, housed in a glazed display frame. Footnote:- John George Pearson was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. A pre-war Territorial in the Tynemouth Royal Garrison Artillery. He was sadly killed in action on 19th September 1917 and was buried in Bleuet Farm Cemetery.
