Cleaned and revarnished. The board is showing through in places by execution. Some of the finer darker coloured dashes within the foliage of the tree and also the yellow pigment in this general area look to be contemporary but are not fluorescing under UV - in addition to some of the outline of the seated figure towards lower right hand corner. Some extremely slight losses to board right hand side evident as slightly adrift from frame. Broadly in a good and stable state of preservation. One apparent horizontal area of craquelure intersecting the standing figure.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
