Somewhat stiffly relined, cleaned and revarnished. Some likely strengthening to some of the shadows and darker linear definition within background and foreground. Fairly pronounced small sized craquelure most concentrated in and around central section. Stretcher shadow mostly in line with upper and lower stretcher. Paint slightly thin and canvas is showing through in the background immediately behind the flowers and dish and to a lesser extent in the foreground before it and the dish and the gloves. The impasto has likely been somewhat flattened from the restoration and relining process. Otherwise in a stable state of preservation.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
