The 100-6 BN4, which was introduced to replace the Austin-Healey 100, was instantly recognisable to the public as an Austin-Healey, but it introduced several compelling improvements. Chief amongst these improvements would be its six-cylinder engine. Additional improvements included two small rear seats being added, a fixed windscreen and a wider radiator grille that was mounted in a slightly lower location compared to its predecessor. Where the 100 was clearly a sports car through and through, the 100-6 was clearly intended with added comfort for longer drives in mind, but it still retained the 100's sporting character. Originally sold in the USA this ex Californian car was lovingly restored around ten years ago and converted professionally to Right hand drive. Since then the current owner has made various improvements and used the car sparingly on dry roads only . This desirable 100-6 example is in wonderful condition mechanically and cosmetically. The interior has been detailed to a very good standard and seats have been trimmed beautifully in leather. Being from a dry climate there were no real rust issues and hence all panels appears to be original and extremely straight. With a bare metal respray during restoration and the paintwork today can be described as very presentable indeed. This is a well sorted, rust free Healey with a huge history file, an older restoration and still in excellent shape.
