First edition in English of these three texts. 'A Letter from a Person of Quality, residing at the Imperial Court of Vienna [...]' and 'The History of Cang-Hy, the Present Emperour of China' each have a separate dated title-page; the latter is a translation of Bouvet's Portrait historique de l'empereur de la Chine (1697), better known under its later title Histoire de l'empereur de la Chine.
