. laid down on card, upper edge taped to mount. there is pronounced evidence of the glue used to lay the sheet down at all four corners, more noticibly so at upper right and lower left. some small tears / losses to sheet along lower edge , large loss approx 3cm from lower left hand corner and approx 0.5cm in length, further smaller losses and tears throughout left hand side , crease/tear to upper edge centre, diagonal crease accross entire width intersecting the gentalmans nose, significant staining to sheet with sporadic foxing spots. further more minor creases and losses

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
