. slightly stiffly relined and in old fully restored condition (50-60 years ago). minor rubbing to edges in general, some surface dirt and discouloured varnish. there is no clear view under UV of the painitngs surface due to thick varnish. some slight flattening to original impasto. areas of varying sized craquelure across surface which one would assume in more pronoinced areas has been restored/retouched left hand side boys hand and lower reaches of the skirt of the seated girl. branch of the tree also shows evidence of old deep crazing which has been disguised with later overpaint and infilling. frame boradly in good order, some small losses to corners. in a stable and presentable state of preservation.
