Sale Information

The sale has an eye to the quirky, with Avant Garde postcard art, letters and typescripts from authors, and photograph albums of British beach holidays, as well as the stranger corners of natural history, such as a privately published work on the Cowthorpe Oak and an 18th-century take on serpents. Amongst the lots featured in the sale are books from the collection of the late Marilyn Dugdale (nee Edwards), a long-serving veteran of the publishing trade. Her books are frequently inscribed by the authors she worked with, such as Martin Amis, Ian McEwan and Kurt Vonnegut, and the lots often include ephemeral items and letters. There are also items of antiquarian interest including Charles II warrants, an 18-foot panorama of the Thames and a 19th-century manuscript Somali Koran.

Entries are now invited for the next sale on 11 September
