Sale Information

A small but select sale full of excellent collector’s pieces. The top lot of the sale is a George V Proof Five Pounds from 1911 (S3994), which is offered with an estimate of £6,000-8,000 (plus buyer’s premium). In about flawless condition and as part of a set released to celebrate the King’s coronation. Further highlights include a 1937 four-coin Specimen Set (PS15) which is one of the top lots of the sale with an estimate of £4,500-5,500 (plus buyer’s premium). In superb condition, it is housed in the original case, also in excellent condition. A Charles II 1664 Two Guineas first bust with Elephant below (S3334) in AVF/VF condition is on offer with an estimate of £2,500-3,500 (plus buyer’s premium). The elephant symbol denotes the gold was supplied by the Africa Company. A Victoria 1895 Five Pounds (S3872) in extremely fine condition from the Diamond Jubilee celebrations is offered with an estimate of £2,000-3,000 (plus buyer’s premium).
